Cori Caat

I am a multidisciplinary artist based out of Cleveland, Ohio. I work across many mediums, hoping to touch the intangible and depict the unseen.  Many figures appear in my work, with an emphasis on the feminine and animals.  Incorporating high contrast symbols, color and texture, I assemble meanings and offer reflections on my experienced reality. I am interested in ethereal and metaphysical subject matter, cycles of all kinds, and the healing power of creativity.  I aim to communicate my discoveries and journey through the language I know best - artmaking.

Since graduating in May 2015 with a degree in Studio Art from Ohio University, I have sustained a practice that involves the continuous production of visual journals and larger format mixed media originals. I also work on a variety of commissioned projects including custom murals and portraiture.
